Developed for a beachfront project at Shebara Resort, this custom dual-source downlight was engineered to support sensitive coastal turtle habitats while delivering precise architectural illumination.
The fitting combines a turtle-friendly amber LED using a CREE XPE source within the 565–623nm wavelength range with a 2700K LED for general nighttime illumination. The amber source helps reduce disruption to turtle navigation by avoiding wavelengths hatchlings are more sensitive to.
Designed for demanding coastal environments, the fitting is machined from solid aluminium and hard anodised for long-term durability in marine conditions.
The dual-gimbal arrangement provides full 360° rotation with 25° tilt adjustment, allowing precise aiming and controlled illumination exactly where required.
